Continuing to progress her sound beyond the boundaries of genre, London-based DJ, producer and instrumentalist Manami unveils a dazzling live rendition of “Tinted”.
A fiercely creative in the London electronic undergrowth, DJ, producer and instrumentalist Manami has been stunning crowds on the live circuit for a number of years now, supporting the likes of Daniel Avery and appearing at festivals like Glastonbury. 2024’s stellar EP “Dreaming Still” translated her deft and explorative sonic compass into a deeply engaging context, showcasing her ability to produce music that feels simultaneously grand and intricate.
Now augmenting the EP further, the polymath shares an intimate live showcase of the project’s opening opus, “Tinted”. Translated from the eden of electronica into a more naturalistic, instrumental-led arrangement, the reworked cut flaunts Manami’s musicianship and ability to translate her approach into differing capacities. The track is accompanied by a stunning visual shot by rising filmmaker Gilmore, shot in St. Paul’s United Reformed Church in South Croydon.
The track marks a new era for Manami, who gears up to share a new two track EP, “Faded”, on 11th July via her own label Mythic.

On the release, Manami offers:
“The original track was a significant turning point in my perception of expression through music. Naturally I was keen to expand on the world it lived in. My main intentions were to bring out the meditative and introspective stillness of the piece via its setting, whilst drawing further on the emotional connotations that lie within it. I couldn’t be more grateful to Eric for bringing this to life in such a delicate and dedicated way. To be creative with your best friends honestly feels like one of life’s greatest gifts. Manami and I had lots of visual ideas but abandoned most of them to just trust in how peaceful and grand the space was. There are so many distinctive lines and shapes with an open piano and the structures of the church, so all of the images had a natural precision. After walking in there it just became a process of reacting to the movements of the music with the camera and then finding those same patterns in the edit.
