We caught up with Dani to discuss her plans on moving to London, her favourite spots in the city, and the importance of prioritising one’s inner voice.

Hey Dani, how has the start of your year been? Any New Year’s resolutions?

My new year has been phenomenal! I’m not one for resolutions but instead view the new year as a clean slate. I do a lot prior to analyze and let go of what I’ve experienced in the previous year, so that I’m not carrying anything unwanted with me. Then, I love to map out the next year and set intentional and tangible goals for myself. This year is extra special because I have so many changes happening and projects beginning so early on in the year. I made a vision board for myself and set it as my screensaver and it has been guiding me and reminding me on my intentions for the year daily. This year, without a doubt, is going to be one for the books.

We hear you are hoping to move to London, what inspired the taste for change?

I’m someone that is always looking for my next adventure. I love to go against the grain and do what’s not being done. In my industry, everyone is or has moved to LA. When I tell people in London I’ve been wanting to move here from LA, they always respond with shock and say, “Everyone here wants to be in LA.” To me, that reaffirms I’m on the right path. The most uncomfortable changes often lead to being rewarded in miraculous ways. This is the first move I’ve wanted to make in my life that isn’t dictated on my career, my family, education, or love. This one is for me. When you make a courageous move like that, there’s no doubt the universe is going to support and bless you.

Can you name some of your favourite London spots?

I still have so much exploring to do, but so far, I’m an East London girly. I love brick lane for shopping and Spitalfields for shopping and food. Dinings SW3 is the best sushi I’ve had so far and The Tamil Prince is the best Indian I’ve had. Grateful to have found my go to barber, Eph, who is the owner of The Smooth Fade in Vauxhall. After a cut, I always head to Metropolis Food Hall and go to Sekushi to get the best (& freshest) poke bowl in the city.

What have been some of your most memorable and favourite moments from your career so far?

There’s so many moments or collaborations that were extremely memorable in my career. The best moments are my interactions with people in-person that are a part of my online community I’ve built over the years. To hear testimonies on how I’ve made other women feel safe, seen, and supported with my content means more to me than any other accomplishment. This is what I do it for. I often say, my message is so much bigger than me and this brand I’ve created. I really do believe I’m a vessel that is being used to spread this message and teach others about the power and impact of confidence and radical self-love.

What projects or collaborations are you most excited about right now?

There’s something in the air this year. 2025 is already hitting different. Although I have so many things already in the works, I know that there is so much in store for this year that I haven’t even the slightest idea about yet. I just finished a big collaboration with H&M UK that I had so much fun doing. I’m hoping to launch a podcast this year, and I’m also working on a big secret (for now) project with a few other London content creators. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m one to watch this year.

What do you have in store for 2025?

A better question would be what I don’t have in store for 2025 because I’m aiming for world domination [haha]. Like I said earlier, there’s magic in this year. I can feel it. I know without a doubt that I’m on the right path. I plan to continue to spread my message, create unique and dynamic content, grow my community, and implement new projects and ways to reach my current audience and continue to expand to a new audience. The more people I reach, the greater my impact will be. That will always be the goal.

If you could leave your audience with one message about confidence and self-love, what would that be?

From the moment we are brought into this world, we are constantly taught to focus on outside validation. My number one message for confidence and self-love is to learn to tune out the outside noise by putting focus on prioritizing that inner voice. The more time we spend alone filling up our own cup, the more we learn how to trust ourselves and the less and less we need that external validation. We are all living a unique experience. No one is identical to any other, so why should we listen to anyone when they tell us how to live, look, love, or to be. When you can come to terms with the fact that there’s truly no blueprint that needs to be followed and let go of your fear of judgment, you can find peace in doing what feels good to you and discovering the life YOU actually want to live. Your self love journey is always going to be ongoing and will ebb and flow but will hands down be the most rewarding investments in your life. Confidence is not only an incredible superpower, but the secret ingredient to living the most fulfilling life possible.
