Fresh off a landmark Paris Fashion Week debut, Willy Chavarria reunites with fellow Californian Kendrick Lamar for a ready-to-wear capsule collection. The duo—who previously collaborated on Lamar’s custom festival Not Like Us music video looks—joins forces in a three-way partnership with the NFL and Lamar’s pgLang label.
The collection includes a cropped hoodie, NFL practice jersey, satin bomber jacket, T-shirt, and knee-high drawstring mesh shorts. Designs feature graphics inspired by Lamar’s latest album, GNX, including the phrases “Foot Up On The Gas But Somebody Gotta Do It” and “g.national”—a nod to both his upcoming Grand National World Tour with SZA and the Buick Grand National GNX, which appears in the album’s artwork. SZA, recently announced as a special guest for the halftime show, adds another layer of excitement to the collaboration.
Set to launch online on Wednesday, 29th January, proceeds from the collection will support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
This drop follows a tradition of Super Bowl Halftime Show fashion collaborations, with past performers like Rihanna in Loewe and Alaïa, and Lady Gaga in Versace.
