DRIES VAN NOTEN HAS ANNOUNCED ITS NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR

The Belgian namesake brand has finally announced its successor, after the founder announced his retirement in March of this year.

Dries Van Noten names its next Creative Director, since the founder announced he would be stepping down earlier this year. After a 38 year career in fashion, Van Noten presented his final collection—which, coincidentally, was also his 150th—in June, during Paris Fashion Week.

A bittersweet moment for the industry, the House’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection was met with many tears and, naturally, a standing ovation, in honour of the designer, who has inspired countless along the way.

Now onto its next chapter, the brand chose to promote in-house, as Julian Klausner has been announced as the new lead. The designer has been working at the company since 2018, eventually becoming the head of womenswear.

The first taste of his direction for the brand will be released in the form of a lookbook in January during Men’s Fashion Week, followed by a runway debut in March.
