Led by founder and artistic director Laurien Schreuder, the Snowapple Collective—a richly diverse group of visionary musicians, avant-garde artists, performers, and eclectic creatives—has blossomed into a truly international and interdisciplinary powerhouse, consistently redefining and expanding the boundaries of musical theatre. With the release of their mesmerising new album, “A Moonless Night”, Snowapple—a dynamic and genre-defying collective spanning Amsterdam, Paris, and Mexico City—invites their dedicated fanbase into an even deeper exploration of their imaginative universe with the music video for the spellbinding track, “I Lie All The Time”
This video brilliantly encapsulates Snowapple’s intricately layered and unmistakably nuanced sound, delivering a ‘surreal cinematic odyssey’ that is both haunting and hypnotic. The stunning visuals—featuring expansive and dreamlike cinematography, elaborate and artfully crafted costumes, and emotionally visceral moments—provide an immersive and beguiling window into the Snowapple experience. Reflecting on the track and video, the group explains, “It’s quite a chilled jazz tune, addressing the world’s monumental problems and how our dreams are mass-produced by the lowest bidder.”
