With 31st October just a matter of hours away, it’s well and truly spooky szn. In our eyes, Halloween should be elongated as much as possible, and so when Wonderland were invited to a Monday night extravaganza at one of our favourite London party spots, The Standard, we were thrilled to accept.

Surrounded by the city’s cool kids, we went down to the extra special collaborative event between global cinema platform MUBI and a long-time partner of theirs, intersectional feminist publication Polyester. The theme? Only the most talked about film of the autumn—The Substance. ‘Activator’ cocktails inspired by The Substance were served all night by Cîroc, and attendees went all out with the fits, with some fantastic tributes to the MUBI movie, as well brides galore, Gone Girl inspo and even a smurf.
