VNCCII, the alter ego of Samantha Tauber, boldly reimagines the traditional concept of an artist. Far more than just a musician, VNCCII is a complex, fictional persona—a “Super Sentient A.I. Superheroine” from the far-flung intergalactic future—who embodies Tauber’s visionary fusion of music, immersive storytelling, and expansive world-building. In her latest track, “Surrender Your Soul”, Tauber delves deeply into provocative societal themes, weaving a vivid narrative in which VNCCII battles an evil A.I. clone, a potent symbol of humanity’s anxieties around technology outpacing human autonomy.
Written, produced, and performed entirely by VNCCII, with mixing and mastering by Grammy Award-winning engineer Luca Pretolesi (Drake, The Weeknd, BLACKPINK), the track showcases her dynamic, genre-defying style, seamlessly combining futuristic electronic rhythms, rich pop textures, and thought-provoking lyrics. Complex instrumental arrangements, layered with her expansive vocal delivery, combine to create an electrifying and otherworldly sonic experience. All of this is further heightened by VNCCII’s remarkable talent for crafting immersive, audio-visual spectacles that captivate the imagination and push the boundaries for what is expected of contemporary artists. The track’s visuals symbollically reflects the track’s themes as VNCCII encounters otherworldly forces stifling her powers, as she rises up defiantly.
Delving into the single, VNCCII explains “This new release is about the battle for Good over Evil through the cultural lens of AI. The VNCCII character has to face her demons and overcome the evil forces to empower her own autonomy and sovereignty. People, beings, or even AI can try to imitate you, but will always be a poor copy – they’ll never be able to replace the unique, authentic essence of one’s self.”

VNCCII’s live shows combine mind-bending visuals, created using Unreal Game Engine and motion capture, with a mix of holographic and live-triggered effects, offering fans a truly immersive, theatrical experience. Her performances and tracks follow the classic Hero’s Journey, with tracks like “Surrender Your Soul” marking pivotal moments, echoing the storyline of her upcoming science fiction novel “Galacta.i.ssance and the VNCCII Awakening”, set to be sent to the Moon in 2025.
