Rooted deep in the effervescence of London’s club scene, much-loved electronic duo FAFF continue to set the dance floor alight with the cheeky and colourful tunes. The pair have just shared a fabulous new two-track EP, “Ouverture for Love” via BDE (Big Dyke Energy), a project full of intention and innovative, whilst proving a hell of a lot of fun. The title track is a sentimental and vibrant number whilst “Fancy Coat” sees the twosome collaborate with the iconic Miss Sharon Le Grand.

I heard this track over the weekend at Draaimolen’s secret stage. Hearing it in such a beautiful setting reminded me of how much I used to listen to it, and it really moved me.
Hydra – “Clinging Vine”
I love the progression of this track and the beautiful vocals. I like to play this and give space for emotional thought during a set.
Enrico Mantini – “Victim of Obsession (USA ‘Mix)”
This mellow yet uplifting housey goodness is the perfect combination of happy and sad – moods that I’m drawn to when looking for new music.

A perfect peak time groovy mellow acid track.

Hannah Holland & Joy Joseph – “Post Hypnotic Signal (The Carry Nation Remix)”
What a match made in heaven! I can’t stop playing this one out; that old-school ravey stab just gets me every time.
Zombies in Miami – “The Rhythm (Factory Setup Remix)”
I just recently played this one at Draaimolen festival, and it went down a treat! Such a hypnotic rhythm & I love the percussion throughout.
Ron Wells & Jack Smooth – “Karma”
Love this one, makes me feel quite nostalgic! It manages to capture the right balance of sad and happy which we tend to gravitate towards in the music that we play/make. Those dubby keys that come in around 2 mins are such a nice surprise as well. Waiting for the perfect time to play this one, potentially in a mix!
The Reaver – “Mmmmm”
This one just puts me in a trance. It’s so simple, but I love the repetition and the building of the vocals and other elements. The pumping bassline, plus the addition and subtraction of the off-beat cymbals throughout, really hit the spot.
