The boy is mineeee! Ariana Grande performed her hit single on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, flexing her signature vocal excellence in lacy cat ears and an all black look. Seven years ago, Gracie Abrams teased a song that would become a cult fan favourite. The catch? She never actually ended up releasing it. Until now. “Close to You” is officially out in the world, released ahead of her forthcoming album The Secret of Us. “We made a demo that I posted 20 seconds of and you somehow cared about it enough for us to revisit the song seven years later,” Abrams shared on her Instagram. “‘Close To You’ was not initially a part of TSOU — it’s from a different time entirely, we had finished the whole record top to bottom, but i heard you loud and clear.” Thank you.

Directed by Billie Eilish herself, the new music video for “Chihiro” is out now. An eerie, dream-like sequence of sterile hallways, open doors, and empty fields, it stars Nat Wolff alongside Eilish in a complicated relationship that at times feels completely imaginary. As Wolff’s character suddenly disappears or reappears at the blink of an eye, we watch Eilish run towards and away from him in equal measure.

The surrealist nature of the video feels fitting for a song whose name is borrowed from Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. Drawing inspiration from the film’s lead and bridging Chihiro’s perspective with her own, Eilish incorporated some Studio Ghibli magic into her honest and captivating visual.
