We’re calling 1-800-SABRINA and subscribing to the Carpenter News! The star made the Saturday Night Live stage her own this weekend, as she performed “Espresso” and a “Feather/Nonsense” mashup as the season finale’s musical guest. Her vocal chops were on full display across the two performances, with her infectious energy and captivating easy breezy bubbly stage presence making her segments the utter highlights of the episode. Another highlight? Her portrayal of Daphne in a Scooby-Doo sketch alongside host Jake Gyllenhaal.

Watch her performances…

“Espresso”

Opening by reading her own newspaper, which pokes fun at the literacy debate surrounding her viral phrase “that’s that me espresso”, and sipping on an espresso martini, she performed alongside two dancers and once again solidified her status as the summer’s number one pop princess. Also a summer staple? Her red babydoll dress.

“Feather/Nonsense”

“I’m on SNL and you’re not.” If you’re as big of a fan of Miss Carpenter’s adlibs during performances as we are, you’re in for a sweet treat with the “Feather/Nonsense” mashup. Dressed in a sparkly baby pink corset and feathers, she reworked her iconic outro for the occasion, singing straight to the camera with a kiss: “He is 30 rock hard ‘cause I said hi / my sense of humour is but I am not dry / SNL I just came for the first time.” Genius.

If you like what you saw, Team Sabrina has teased there’s more to come. A tour, perhaps? We sure hope so.
