Performing under the pseudonym Simon Marroco, Samskara Rad originally emerged as part of the prog-rock band The Mood. After a 25-year hiatus, Rad has returned, embracing new influences, sounds, and production techniques. Marking a departure from his previous hit, “BIGGEST FAN”, Rad’s new single, “Only Fan” features dreamy synth arpeggios gently poised around bouncing drums and a rich undercurrent of bass.

As the track unfolds, “Only Fan” builds with ethereal warmth and softer atmospheres, showcasing an introspective and delicate side to Samskara’s ethereal writing. “Only Fan” is a true demonstration of Rad’s musical signature; echoing vocals are layered with a rich bass, while multi-layered instrumentals add poise, complexity, and introspection to this enigmatic track.

Samskara speaks on the release, explaining “A dreamy lullaby bubblegum version of Biggest Fan. For me, it’s hard to do slower-paced songs, as I’m always in the minute and driven by energy. So, writing Only Fan taught me how to create emptiness and space in a song and still be energetic, but with a different emotional vibe.”
