Accessibility and creativity are always in close quarters, but every so often, a multi-talented artist in the indie scene bends this fine line for the better. LA Laura Paris, the pop muse of Los Angeles, with the innovative elegance of a French connoisseur, is writing, singing, composing, directing, producing, performing and promoting her brand across the continent. Using modern metaphors like the arcade to reflect her artistic perspective, her new single Game Over is an absolute smash that blends the nostalgic joy of 8-bit samples with an electro-pop groove straight from the Parisian nightlife.

Multi-talented is a term often overlooked by the average music aficionado. After all, a large part of excelling as an independent artist is your resourcefulness when it comes to producing the actual piece. Being multi-talented has become almost a requirement to compete on the scene in the US or elsewhere. But rare is the artist that does it with tact, taste and an actual depth to each musical element. Inspired by her heartbreak at the hands of an emotional swindler, the track pins a newly emerged and full-forced LA Laura Paris against the would-be players of the nightlife. Something that everyone has once experienced. After a pacman-esque rumble and lyrical joust with one’s emotional nemesis, many would want to stop and shout.. LA Laura Paris manifests a much better answer, that involves brushing off the jerkish lurkers of the night and popping out your middle finger to remind them who’s boss. Whoever said pop-music didn’t have a gutsy attitude had yet to be introduced to LA Laura Paris.
