Family game night is coming to your screens! Margot Robbie is bringing her Barbie magic to an unexpected live-action feature film, inspired by the classic Monopoly board game. It’s unclear how the project aims to bring the financially-informed, real estate-focused game to life, and our questions are endless. Will the film spark as many cheating rumours, bankruptcy, and risky property deals as its muse? One thing we know for sure is that with the production support of Robbie’s company LuckyChap Entertainment and Monopoly backers Hasbro Entertainment, it will be mega.

This is not the first seemingly random project that LuckyChap has recently embarked upon. Alongside record-breaking hits such as I, Tonya, Promising Young Woman, Birds of Prey, Maid, Saltburn, and, of course, Barbie, the production company is set to work on some of the most confusing and enticing forthcoming films. While we wait for more information on Monopoly, we take a look at what else Robbie has in store for us.

The Sims

Perhaps the most fitting for this list is The Sims, another live action adaptation of a beloved game. In collaboration with Marvel director Kate Herron and co-writer Briony Redman, it will take the animations into real life. What can we expect? Check out everything we know.

Avengelyne

The brain-child of Olivia Wilde and Deadpool’s Rob Liefeld, we have high hopes for Avengelyne. The action-packed sci-fi film is based on the comic book series, and follows a fallen angel who lands on Earth to battle demons and fight the force of evil. With only her strength and powerful blood to save humanity, she is posed with being the only hope at the precipice of Armageddon.

Sirens

Sirens is the only mini series on the list, and while its storyline feels like high drama, it promises to be a comedy at the same time. Devon intervenes in her sister’s suspicious relationship with her new boss, the socialite Michaela Kell. It is told entirely over one weekend and takes place at Michaela’s beach estate. The visuals are already screaming out to us.

Naughty

A (Christmas?) comedy in the works, Naughty follows Mallory, a mother who sets off on a custody battle against her former boyfriend. The twist? The only way to get her son back is to track down Santa Claus and get him to appear in court.

Tank Girl

First released as a live-action feature in 1995, Tank Girl is getting another makeover thanks to our girl Margot. Based on the British comic book, we can only expect the LuckyChap version of Tank Girl is going to pull out all the stops of futuristic fashion and set design.
