Feeling radically optimistic? Well, Dua Lipa certainly is. Gearing up for the release of her new album, Radical Optimism, the British pop star has been teasing audiences for months now with a handful of banger drops — leaving fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the May 3 release date.

Led by November’s “Houdini” and February’s “Training Season,” the album will feature nine additional tracks — and tonight, she will unveil the latest offering of the bunch before we get our hands on the full album: the single “Illusion”.

Radical Optimism is her follow-up album to 2020’s critically acclaimed Future Nostalgia, and it comes months after she scored the top position in song charts all over the world with Barbie’s “Dance The Night”.

“A couple of years ago, a friend introduced me to the term Radical Optimism,” Dua said in press materials.“It’s a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life. It struck me—the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm. At the same time, I found myself looking through the music history of psychedelia, trip hop, and Britpop. It has always felt so confidently optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude are feelings I took into my recording sessions.” Easy to forecast another massive hit for Ms. Lipa — and we cannot wait!
