It’s a collection of multiple memories from different times in the vehicle of a new love. I thought there was something sweet about romanticizing something as monotonous as being in a car. It’s hopeful, but it’s also cautious. It’s recognizing how beautiful and easy the relationship is, but also understanding that no relationship is that way all the time. It’s asking, ‘When we face challenges and struggles together, when it isn’t beautiful or easy anymore, will you still want to be with me? Will you still walk and open my door for me when I leave?’”
