SXM FESTIVAL: SAINT MARTIN 2024

The idyllic electronic music festival returns to the Caribbean this month for its 7th year, hosting the likes of Adam Ten, Anja Schnider, Eli & Fur and Mason Collective.

Festivals come in all shapes and sizes. From the stripped back beloved English countryside that’s home to Leeds and Reading Festival (mudslide, anyone?), to the extravagant stages of Tomorrowland in Belgium, not one is the same. The shape of SXM? Luxury. The size? A whole island.

Taking place on the French-Dutch Caribbean island of Saint Martin, SXM runs from 11 – 18th March, welcoming huge acts like Loco Dice, Anja Schneider, Vintage Culture and Kevin Saunderson – one of the famous Detroit Belleville Three who broke new ground as techno DJs in the 80s.

The island-wide takeover sees parties hosted on boats, beaches, villas and hilltop sunrise sessions, against the backdrop of the sprawling horizon and lush rainforests. When the party’s over, SXM doesn’t stop there. Founder Julian Prince says the team is committed to uplifting local communities and enriching the culture year round. “Throughout the year, we engage in a range of initiatives designed to make a meaningful impact on the region and we have many partnerships with local non profits, artisans, and businesses. Through partnerships and initiatives, we aim to create economic opportunities without damaging nature.”

“Dancing under the stars with toes in the sand is a hallmark of our festival experience,” adds Prince. Each venue is carefully selected and decorated – from mountaintops and luxurious villas, to premium establishments – offering a unique festival experience, complimenting their world-class lineup and first-class facilities. Aside from the festival itself, attendees can explore the island’s diverse culture, attend local BBQs, and unwind at any of the island’s 37 pristine white beaches.
