TARRIC – “THE WORLD OF YOU AND ME”

In anticipation of his upcoming album “Lovesick” set to release later this year, the South-Indian artist unveils his enchanting new single.

With echoes of ’80s new wave bands blended seamlessly with modern post-punk beats, Tarric’s music exudes a captivating indie rock aura. Laden with evocative lyrics and unrefined instrumentation, his sound possesses a distinct charm. In his latest release, “The World of You and Me,” Tarric stays true to his nostalgic style. From the onset, his skill in crafting delicate compositions shines through, effortlessly intertwining poetic verses with lush instrumentals featuring soaring guitars and subtle percussion.

Tarric comments on the romanticism behind the track, explaining, “the term ‘world’ is somewhat symbolic. It really means the whole of a relationship with all its quirks, inside jokes, and shared experience that only the two of you will ever know. It will never be accessed by anyone else and the two of you will share these things forever in your own little world.”

Do you have a favorite line from “The World of You and Me”?

‘I’ll build a home around our love, Safe from fools and thieves. We’ll laugh at them as time goes by, In this world of you and me’

To me this line illustrates the very real desire to keep your loved one safe from the outside world while making all bad things feel trivial.

What do you want the fans to take about from the new single + video?

I hope the song sends the message that while the world seems to be continually devolving into madness the good people in your life will always be there for you.

The video is a representation of this. Two people who love each other who will come together no matter what is happening around them.

How does “Then World of You and Me” compare to the rest of the songs we can expect from the album?

This song is a bit more mellow than the rest and has a gentleness created by a string quartet that the other songs don’t contain.

What role does this song play in the narrative of your forthcoming album?

The album is a memoir of my love life where each song is about a different relationship. While a lot of the songs are break up songs, this one is about pure love and dedication.
