Hey Max! You’ve just been at New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, how did you find the experience?
It was incredible and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before! The venues, the clothes, the people, it was all so magnificent!
Who were your favourite shows at both Weeks?
My favorite show in New York was the blonds. In London, the Patrick McDowell show was wonderful!
What were your favourite moments from the week?
The Blonds was amazing. From the venue, to the people attending, and the after party, it was an experience unlike any other and I will never forget it! In London, the Patrick McDowell show was one for the books. It was all about bringing music and fashion together and they did it so beautifully with the students at Guildhall. I loved being able to work with them and show them not just something that they could do in the classroom, but also giving them commercial music experience. As a Berklee College of Music student myself, I had so much fun working with other students from another country who added a different perspective. It was a magical night, and the room was filled with so many inspiring people.
You performed at the Patrick McDowell show and afterparty, how did that relationship start and develop?
Patrick and I connected through my Publicist , Brad Taylor , and he has been so kind and generous! We talked mostly on virtual meetings, as I am based out of Vegas and he is here in London, but when I finally got to meet him in person, he was just as gracious and kind as over the phone! It’s been a wonderful experience working with him.
You’ve just dropped your latest track “KEEP YOU WAITING”, what messages are you aiming to convey on the track?
I wrote Keep You Waiting when I first came to London to write this EP and was going to be away from my partner for a while. I also knew that I could possibly be going on tour at the start of this year and that I would be back in London and New York for fashion week which would take up a whole other month. He’s so good, it’s like when you wait for the other shoe to drop. I’m keeping him waiting, so will he stay? He has been so good to me and I just fear that I could lose it with being away for a while. I think we all can relate to when something is too good to be true, It’s hard to think that that will stay that way. We self-sabotage ourselves.
You’ve been dancing since you were 3-years-old, can you share how this sets you apart from other artists?
Many artists are just great at singing, that’s their whole performance which is great! For me and my extensive background in dance training, my performances can go to another level and bring a fun, more interactive experience.
What can fans expect from you in the coming year?
I’ll be going on tour with Blue starting in April and will be releasing 2 EP’s this year! The first single off my new EP releases on February 22!
