Manhattan’s-very-own, Susannah B, has carved out rich soundscapes and a vibrant discography as a multi-faceted artist. From New York’s off-Broadway stages to captivating audiences in many of Los Angeles’ iconic venues, Susannah has showcased cinematic, song writing and performative flair through her innate talent. Now, Susannah releases “BE ALL RIGHT”, a single taken from her upcoming album, “POV”.

Speaking about her latest track and its universal themes, Susannah explains “My latest single, ‘BE ALL RIGHT’, is about the struggle of being in a relationship where you’re stuck in a difficult pattern of hurt feelings and frustration that you don’t know how to break out of. Initially, I wrote it when I was feeling discouraged about communication breakdowns and misunderstandings, I was having with a family member, but since then, I’ve come to realize that the song’s message is universal and can also apply to a romantic relationship or even the complex bond between parent and child.
At its heart, it’s about faith – about letting go and believing that no matter what’s ahead, we’re going to be okay. I think the human brain panics when it feels out of control, and the truth is, we have very little control over the world we live in. ‘BE ALL RIGHT’ is about the courage it takes to persevere through emotional struggles, let go of trying to figure out what’s going to happen, and trust the journey, even when the destination is unknown.
Susannah goes on to speak about where the songs come from personally, saying “I’ve been in therapy for years and it’s helped me become much happier and more at peace in my life. I’ve found a lot of freedom through understanding myself emotionally. So, I like to write about my inner life – my songs are personal anthems that help me deal with the negative voices in my head, or find peace amid the chaos of the world. I also try to write catchy hooks. I’m a big believer in the healing power of music, and I often craft my songs with the goal of getting my listeners to sing along and feel the power of an uplifting or healing idea in a melody.”
‘BE ALL RIGHT’ acts as part of the artists’ new album, POV. Touching on what fans can expect from the project, and highlighting the creative process, Susannah says “‘POV’ will be released song-by-song this year and is a soulful collection of smooth, groovy songs written over the past 20 years that I rewrote and re-recorded with a new band of amazing musicians who tour with Alanis Morissette, Tim McGraw, Lana Del Ray, and Beck, among others.”
