In 2023, Beyoncé announced she was going to be entering the beauty world, posting a photo of herself sitting at her dresser styling her luscious locks. The following slides showed her daughter, Blue Ivy, getting her hair done alongside a sweet dialogue explaining that Bey’s first job was at her mother’s salon — and how she wishes to continue her legacy by creating products inspired by her own hair journey.

In a marketing email sent to fans, Bey explained: “It has always been a dream of mine to create a hair care line,” followed by, “That’s why I’m so proud to share Cécred, which celebrates and honours the wisdom in our hair. I’m excited that you are now part of this community and can help to build an intimate and powerful space where we can share our journeys, our hair secrets and protect all things sacred.”

Fast forward to Tuesday evening, Bey shared a heartfelt Instagram reel in collaboration with her brand new beauty baby, Cécred. The short clip projected on a sheer white sheet, showed a compilation of clips, including slides of Beyoncé as a child with her hair beautifully braided. We also caught a glimpse of her mother Tina Knowles’ former salon, Headliners Hair Salon. The reel was captioned with a simple one-liner, “Hair is sacred”, followed by a note to say the Cécred brand is set to launch on 20th February.

The beehive has been buzzing over this exciting news from the Queen, with floods of comments including “Whatever it is I’ll buy all of it!” and “Yonce girl my pockets are tired!!
