Alan Ket and Allison Freidin, co-founders of the Museum of Graffiti, have embarked on a new project — The Art of Hip Hop — that celebrates the unsung heroes of the genre. Featuring photographers, graffiti artists, and designers, the Miami Beach museum is currently exhibiting its first show, “From the Bronx to the Beach”, which highlights iconic figures like Kool Herc and Uncle Luke, offering immersive experiences and enriching history.
As a seasoned graffiti artist, Ket has travelled the globe, leaving his mark on the streets while documenting the growth of graffiti culture. Freidin’s dedication to social change adds richness to their partnership, and together, they’ve curated exhibitions that not only pay homage to graffiti’s pioneers but also spark conversation around urban art’s societal relevance. Located in Miami Beach, The Art of Hip Hop explores the fusion of art and activism, championing the vibrant expression of street culture.
