METTE

Fresh from her triumphant EP, pop’s newest craze covers our Winter 23 issue, talking fame, façade, foundations and finding herself.

“I just collect songs like people pick flowers. They’ve got different shades, and they’ve got different petals. I look at the tapestry and think – what goes together? What am I trying to say with this EP? I was trying to explore my own humanity. The ego and the darkness and the psyche, the feeling of lineage and ancestral heritage.”

From Pharrell’s dance troop to devising one of the year’s definitive debuts: Triple threat METTE has trusted the process – and herself – to become Pop’s newest craze. Fresh from immersing us in the “METTENARRATIVE” on her triumphant EP, she covers our Winter 23 issue, talking fame, façade, foundations and finding herself.
