Founded in 2019 by Samantha Togni, Boudica is a multidisciplinary platform striving to encourage more trans+, female, and non-binary individuals to become involved in music. What initially started as a queer night soon evolved into a supportive network dedicated to not only incentivizing but also supporting creatives attempting to break into the industry. In 2023, Boudica initiated an ongoing collaborative relationship with Pioneer DJ’s Start From Scratch series to support LGBTQIA+ communities across Europe. Since 2020, they have hosted two editions of the Boudica Music Conference at Freemasons’ Hall and a third at the Museum of Modern Art Bologna (MAMbo). This year, the event will take over FOLD in London on November 25th.
Boudica’s Music Conference 2023 will present a day and night dedicated to exchanging knowledge in an accessible, safer environment. Alongside the usual program of panels and electronic music, they have two new additions to the London-based conference schedule: a one-to-one Mentorship Hub and a DJ Workshop in collaboration with Pioneer DJ.
