Many people struggle with the “what to wear” dilemma before a party. How did you decide on your look for tonight?
I’d be shit out of luck without my stylist, Michael Philouze. Versace felt right for such a shiny night.

What’s your party essential for an event like this?
A really great companion, and… a smile.

Who were you excited to see at the party? Where is the first place you head to when you get to a party? Will we find you at the bar, mingling, or on the dance floor?
There was a mixup with the rooms to get ready in, and I was given a room meant for Cynthia Erivo – so I knew she was going to be there. Maybe, I’m brainless, maybe, I’m wise, she’s got me seeing through different eyes…

I am a “find a corner and stand there most of the night” kind of guy.

What is a party faux pas you think everyone should avoid?
Being on your phone whilst in conversation with others.

Talk us through your personal style and what it means to you. How does your personal style contribute to your public image and what message do you hope to convey through your fashion choices when attending events and parties?
Personally, I love wearing jeans and no shirt around the house and then if I am going somewhere, finding a comfortable t-shirt and putting some chelsea boots on. Obviously, you have to dress up for these events and parties, I guess I’d like to convey that I have fun wearing nice clothing, maybe I look unapproachable, but lean in and you’ll soon find out I’m desperate to put on some joggers and order pizza on the way back home.

Who is your style icon? And if you had to take them for dinner, where would you take them and what would you wear?
Paul Newman will always be the icon, it would be really hard to take him out to dinner though, it’s impossible to get reservations anywhere.
