The sonic world of dery is atmospheric, unique and diverse. From her debut EP back in 2014, she has progressed as a writer ten-fold, a fact that was illustrated in its clearest form on her ’19 16-pronged album, and its ’22 follow up. Merging various sub-sounds, from jazz to pop, the fluid artist is personal and uncompromising in her approach.

This year has seen dery in particular prolific form with standout tracks like “witty” and “drain”. She has now returned with a gorgeous new offering, “riddle”, which is plucked from a forthcoming body of work. Tinged with indie-pop goodness and gorgeous vocal harmonies, the new cut is quaint and cathartic, with dery offering visceral lyricism and a textured performance.

A highly talented writer and vocalist who seems to be getting better with each passing release, we await the forthcoming record from dery with excitement.
