PHOEBE PHILO

The wait is finally over — the former Céline creative director’s debut eponymous collection is here.

Since her departure from Céline in 2018, Phoebe Philo and her refined minimalism have been missing from the fashion industry. Until now. Simple and streamlined with nuanced twists, Phoebe Philo’s debut collection for her eponymous label picks up right where she left off — with simple square-toed heels, back-zipped trousers, and deconstructed trench coats that are bound to become cult classics.

A lovely capsule wardrobe for anyone who could afford it, the pieces are timeless and versatile, a true example of the quiet luxury trend but with that Philo magic. Sold in small quantities with an e-commerce angle, many of the pieces are already sold out. And many will likely, in time, be resold for twice the price.

While the pieces are relatively simplistic — staples in neutral hues and monochrome tones — the editorial imagery and gorgeous branding stands out from the crowd. Intimate photography and bold red typography command attention on the luxury brand’s website.
