AUGUSTINE — “TEACH ME”

The Swedish songwriter and producer gives us a second look into his upcoming sophomore album, a dreamy and nostalgia-infused strive for understanding.

Two Swedish Grammy nominations and the success of his debut album, Weeks Above The Earth, under his belt, multi-instrumentalist and producer Augustine is back with a new chapter of his artistry. His new single, “Teach Me”, comes as the second offering from forthcoming sophomore album, Youth And Why It Ends. A warm, nostalgic, and autumnal track, it explores themes of worry, confusion, and existential angst, while calling for support in the effort to understand the world around him. Delicate yet powerful, it follows his previous single “Woman” and gives us another taste of what we can expect from the full project. With its dreamy, introspective, and 70s-influenced aura, we cannot wait for more.

“Teach Me’ is about the desire to understand the world from another person’s perspective,” explains Augustine. “I want to understand every thought and how this person interprets all sounds and impressions because then I can try to imitate it and thus avoid thinking for myself.”

Youth And Why It Ends is out on 3rd November.
