PRADA × MAGNUM PHOTOS

The initiative at The Selfridges Corner Shop celebrates nature and humankind through 150 works by leading photographers.

Swirling around Central London this week? Stop by The Selfridges Corner Shop, — a glass box in the corner of Oxford Street and Duke Street — to check out the new Prada collection, a partnership between the Maison and the cooperative of acclaimed independent photographers, Magnum Photos. The exhibition, “Witness to Nature”, investigates the relationship between humanity and nature through 150 works by leading photographers, and it’s open for visitors until the 11th of November.

Celebrating nature and humankind, the images captured at all four corners of the Earth probe the unsolvable enigma of nature, with its juxtaposition of micro and macro, power and fragility, beauty and danger, while mankind observes and contributes to its perpetual transformation. The Selfridges Corner Shop location is the first stop off for the Prada Reporter pop up, which will travel to key international cities.

The exclusive selection of garments and accessories that accompanies the project, part of Prada’s new collection, is also inspired by the exhibition’s aesthetics, offering a contemporary take on the iconic roaming photographer’s outfit, playing with layering and camouflage and featuring copious pockets.
