ADIDAS ORIGINALS’ NEW CAMPAIGN

Stormzy, Jenna Ortega, Jude Bellingham, and an A-list of celebs star in Adidas Originals’ new campaign in celebration of the brand’s heroes.

Who’s more original than Stormzy?! Maybe Wednesday’s star Jenna Ortega or… Jude Bellingham? As the face of the new Originals’ campaign, Adidas recruited an A-list of agenda-setters, paying homage to those who have helped propel the brand to the forefront of culture. David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Jennie Kim add to this list. Featuring in the campaign as adidas Original trailblazers, they share what being an Original means to them in their respective domains.

As an avid Adidas fan, Stormzy says, “Originality is opening up your mind and getting all your thoughts on the table and saying who am I? That’s who I am, I’m an Original.” Jude Bellingham also shares what it’s like to be a footballer as an Original and how, “football at times can be a bit of a lonely life, I think everyone has a limit, I play the game how I wanna play the game.” While Jenna encapsulates exactly what makes someone an Original, “being an original is to be brave enough to express yourself.”

Headlined by three films shot by three creative pioneers, and a selection of stills arranged in triptychs, each focusing on three timeless ‘characters’ from the storied Three Stripes archive – the brand’s heroes Superstar, Gazelle, and Samba. With each film and set of images spotlighting a different silhouette, the narratives of the Trefoil’s (the three stripes!) history are interwoven with the ways in which these iconic styles, born in sport, have been embraced, reinterpreted, and absorbed into culture – time and time again.
