RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCé

Queen B takes us backstage of her historic tour with new unreleased snippets of her soon-to-be-launched concert film

No Monday blues can resist a Beyoncé treat. One day after concluding her last concert in Kansas City, the pop queen announced the release of a concert movie featuring her record-breaking sellout tour, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé. The trailer takes us behind the scenes, mixing a homemade camcorder feeling, capturing on-stage final seconds, makeup touch-ups, to wholesome dressing room moments, rehearsing with Blue Ivy, and ultra-produced Beyoncé-level content. In the background, the muse talks to listeners as if we were in a one-on-one interview. “When I am performing, I am nothing but free,” she says. “The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged. Start over, start fresh. Create the new. That’s what the Renaissance is about.”

The concert movie comes not only after the sellout tour’s success but also following a previous documentary in the same style, Homecoming, on Netflix, where she shows the behind-the-scenes moments of her astounding 2018 Coachella headline set. The film will be in theaters on the 1st of December, via Beyoncé’s own Parkwood Entertainment. Counting the days!
