LOOKS OF THE WEEK

Balletcore meets cybercore, celebs taking over the fashion capital, and Mia Thermopolis but make it Y2K: Hailey Bieber, Blackpink’s Rosé, and Doja Cat feature in this week’s fashion roundup.

Wonderland’s saved folder on Instagram was filled with amazing outfits and celebs spotting this week. As we come to the end of a busy fashion month, it’s time to look at what our favorite trendsetters have been up to. Hailey Bieber, once again, never fails to deliver good fits and rocked a fresh-from-the-runway Tory Burch mini dress while WFH (in a five-star hotel, not from home, don’t be silly) in Paris. Fashion royalty Pharrell and Ambush’s Yoo Ahn also met up in the French capital for a very special event, while Doja Cat seems to not let us move past the Y2K fever… ever! Keep scrolling for more.

Supporting the homies

In the week prior to Paris Fashion Week, Pharrell Williams hosted a special event in one of the city’s busiest spots to celebrate the launch of his new book, Pharrell: Carbon, Pressure & Time: A Book of Jewels, a monograph dedicated to his collection of custom-made jewels. And, of course, an A-list of celebs showed up to support the Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director. Here, he poses with Yoo Ahn, Ambush’s Creative Director, both rocking full outfits from their respective brands like the proud parents they are.

Balletcore at its finest

If you thought our obsession with ribboned flats and ultra-girly envelope skirts, reminiscent of the outfits your mom picked for ballet class in the early 2000s, was over, Hailey Bieber is here to prove you wrong. In Paris for Fashion Week, she posed in a mini asymmetric baby pink Tory Burch number fresh from the runway of its SS44 collection, spiced up by a futuristic-like supported skirt. The look was completed with long socks, black flats, Hailey’s signature YSL shades, and, of course, extra juicy lips in the best Rhode Beauty style. Obsessed!

It’s a never-ending summer…

Just when we thought we were ready to put the tank tops aside and make room in the closet for jacket season, Spring/Summer ’24 Fashion Week collections come along to make us dream of sunny days again. Styled by Bubu Ogisi, the name behind the Nigerian-born brand IAMISIGO and one of Victoria’s Secret invited designers to support their comeback this fall, the outfit worn by Emily Ratajkowski in Paris this week is simply a summer dream.

Blackpink or… Rosé-in-black?

Blackpink’s star Rosé is also in Paris for Fashion Week season, and between her tight schedule front-rowing some of the biggest shows (as YSL’s Global Brand Ambassador!), she found time to deliver at least a handful of outfits that we want in our wardrobe as we speak. Styled by Aeri Yun, she poses in a parking lot in her latest Instagram post looking ready to run some errands while giving a spicy twist to the long-time wardrobe staple black dress and heels. Rosé’s choice was an extra-voluminous, sparkly micro skirt paired with sandals covered in crystals — (not) so basic!

The Princess Diaries (unhinged version)

Doja’s painting the town baby pink, and we are here for it. In the rollout of her new music video for the single “Agora Hills,” part of her highly anticipated new album Scarlet, the singer and songwriter is sticking to the Y2K aesthetic and serving bubblegum hair, furry pastel pink top, thin eyebrows, layers of lace, and, of course, a princess tiara — as she should.

Everything I Know About… TOD’S

@belpowley

@belpowley

English actress Bel Powley caught everyone’s attention last year by portraying Dolly Alderton’s character, Birdy, in the BBC miniseries adapted from her memoir, Everything I Know About Love. Now, she remains in the spotlight as the lead in Disney+’s recently released series, A Small Light. Amidst her busy post-launch schedule, she managed to make time last week for a quick Fashion Week appearance. She flew to Milan to attend the TOD’s show, effortlessly pulling off the ultimate autumnal look that we can’t wait to replicate as the temperatures drop.
