South London singer-songwriter Eliza Oakes has found her stylistic sweet spot. Rising through the ranks of UK soul and pop, Oakes is inspired by an eclectic range of artists, from Jessie Ware to Cleo Sol, with these influences culminating in an intimate and engrossing sonic amalgamation.

Following her self-produced debut EP, “An Intuition”, gracing our ears back in 2021, Oakes has now returned to embark on the next chapter of her artistry. Alongside news of a forthcoming sophomore body of work, the artist has gifted us with “Heaven In Your Eyes”, its dazzling first teaser. Atop an immersive piano-driven backdrop, Oakes’ vocals, delicate yet commanding. Unravelling a story of finding hope when you need it most, lyrically we find Oakes as both an expressive and powerful narrator.

Speaking on the new single, Oakes offers, “Lyrically, it’s a direct call to creatives and community in an industry that’s focused on its algorithms and numbers, to trust your own voice, intention and sense of belonging. It’s an attempt to ignite our own ‘inner guide’, and discover an intrinsic intuition and purpose. Drawing on personal themes of spirituality, optimism, self-worth and empowerment, it’s a continuing message to my past, present and future self.”
