TAMERA – “POISON” (BTS)

We take a behind the scenes look at the dazzling, kaleidoscopic new visuals for the R&B frontrunner.

There’s few artists in the UK R&B scene as exciting than Tamera. It’s been a huge summer for the rising songstress, having debuted on COLORS and performed at the likes of All Points East, and we have now been blessed with the news that she will be unveiling an all new EP on 29th September, entitled “L.I.T”.

Alongside the news of the forthcoming project, Tamera has shared a stunning new single and accompanying visuals, “Poison”. The track sees the singer serenade atop an atmospheric and immersive Afro-infused soundscape, flaunting her lyrical acumen and effortless vocal finesse. The colourful and narrative-led approach of the song is mirrored in the vibrant and cinematic narrative, which sees Tamera warring with a beau across a variety of striking and motley backdrops.

On the track, Tamera shared, “’Poison’ was written about the toxic dynamic of two people who are in love but don’t know how to show up in the relationship in a way that is healthy. They are infatuated but still treat one another badly and despite this they can’t seem to part ways, in turn becoming each other’s chosen poison.”
