Manchester-born and currently based in London, artist and producer Sonnee is rising quickly in the world of dance-pop — and his new track sets the scene for more exciting endeavours to come. Released with the announcement of his second EP, lead single “Fever” is an upbeat and emotional song blending dance, electro-pop, and soul for a luscious soundscape that is a pleasure to the ears. His mystifying vocals and steady, intricate synth melodies come together harmoniously for a vibrant treat.

While the track is perfect on its own, it also makes us extra excited about the upcoming project. Titled “Chalk”, it will be his second EP and continue to establish Sonnee as a force to be reckoned with. From start to finish, the project explores a range of emotions and relationships, drawing on feelings of melancholy and contemplation as well as dance-infused optimism. Taking from a combination of influences, his music is difficult to put into one category — pushing boundaries and finding a one-of-a-kind niche.

“Fever” is out now on Attack Decay Sweet Release. The full “Chalk” EP will be out in October. Pre-save it here.
