Since her debut EP, “Treasure”, back in 2015, Swedish singer-songwriter LÉON has been receiving acclaim for audiences and critics alike for her simultaneously familiar yet unique sound. A fiercely independent artist, the pop trailblazer has gone on to release three engrossing albums, and with this latest single, “Pretty Boy”, shows no sign of slowing down.

Plucked from her forthcoming fourth studio LP, the anthemic new single is dazzling and daring, with an arena-ready hook and powerful lyricism flaunting the artist’s writing acumen. The production, which comes courtesy of LÉON herself alongside friend and collaborator Henrik Michelsen, is synth-laden and ethereal, full of ear worm cadences and intricate musicality.

Discussing the track, LÉON offers; “‘Pretty Boy’ is a song about time. About making up for the time you’ve lost and what kind of future you’re hoping for. About choosing to be happy, in a way, and how you can remain connected to certain people and places without seeing them for the longest time. Right after it was written I knew it had to be the first single.”
