Since their formation in 2014, DJ/producer trio Mason Collective has become synonymous with high energy, electrifying sets, in demand sold out events, and their growing festival MVSON WORLD that brings their loyal and growing community together. Hosted in their home city of Manchester, the second annual one-day immersive experience was held last month at Barton Aerodrome and included sets and experiences by the likes of AJ Christou, wAFF, Calvin Clarke, Fletch, Fleur Shore, Jean Pierre, Joella Jackson, Joseph Edmund, Mason Maynard, Max Dean, and Sosa.
Performing in Manchester is a full circle moment for the collective, who have travelled the country and garnered a global fanbase. Bringing together the most exciting names in contemporary house across three stages, as well as a plethora of mind and wellness activities, art installations, food and drink vendors, and a creative market, MVSON WORLD expands Mason Collective’s sound into a 360° experience.
“Our first year was so incredible that following on from that was a big task but I think we executed it well,” Mason Collective member Adam explains. “We kept the main stage for big room underground house and the whippin stage for minimal and deep tech, as well as a new third stage for a more open music policy, ranging from garage to amapiano. We put a lot of thought, time and effort into the evolution of each stage and it was amazing to see how well they were received.”
