MINOE — “HANDS”

The rising Canadian star has released another stellar single from her upcoming EP — a dance anthem exploring the complexities of relationships.

Born in Nova Scotia, MINOE began writing lyrics out of a necessity to understand and work through emotions. As a child, growing up in a troubled home, the artist would use songwriting as a means to cope with her trauma — and has since made it her goal to create a safe space for listeners to heal alongside her.

Now based in Montreal, she is doing just that. Combining disco-pop with darker, alternative influences, MINOE has crafted her entirely own sound and niche within the alt-pop sphere. Always honest, her lyrics provide an empowering and cathartic experience for listeners worldwide.

The third release off of her upcoming EP, “Bleeding Heart’s Disco”, is officially out now. Titled “HANDS”, it explores the complexities and dualities of relationships — how they can be both beautiful and terrifying all at once. Written following a breakup, it meshes vulnerable and relatable lyrics with dancefloor-worthy beats for an all-encompassing, full body experience that will have you in your feels in the club.

“As someone who has only really relied on myself for most of my life, relying on another person can present a major challenge,” explains MINOE. “It’s one I’ve previously been very quick to run away from. In “Hands,” I’m turning my back on my partner, ready to return to dissociation, partying, and my vices.”

Following former singles “Cherry” and “Cut Me Loose”, “Hands” provides further context for what we can expect from the EP. And we can’t wait.
