Nia Archives – “Bad Gyalz”

It’s been another huge year for DnB Goddess Nia Archives, who has quickly risen from promising emerging artist to industry mainstay. She’s just release another anthem to augment our summer in the shape of “Bad Gyalz”, balancing her refreshing and refined lyricism atop an unstoppable sonic palette for a dance floor extravaganza.

Jorja Smith – “Go Go Go”

It’s hard to think of an artist across the globe in better release form than our Walsall favourite Jorja Smith. With the release of this new single, “Go Go Go”, we’ve had three eclectic offerings from Smith, each showcasing a different side to her, both in terms of musicality and also character. The new cut is an indie-tinged, evocative rager, with Jorja flaunting her commanding vocal presence and introspective lyrical prowess.

M Huncho x Slim – “any minute”

M Huncho and his notorious mask are back! One of the most consistent players in UK rap, Hunch seems to be maturing his work with each passing release, and “any minute” is no exception. Accompanied by a broody visual, the artist joins up with hotly tipped rapper Slim for a slick and atmospheric release, reflecting on the game and themselves in the lively offering.

Jordy – “THE LOVE TING”

North London-born alt rap riser Jordy is having a good week. Not only is he supporting Pusha T on this current UK tour, he has also dropped his latest, and perhaps most impressive to date, EP. “THE LOVE TING” sees Jordy explore his sound in a distinct manner, flirting with R&B influences, for a love-soaked evaluation of romance in the modern age, working with the likes of JADA, Elt Cheekz and Louis Rei in the process.

LOONY – “Old Friends”

We are obsessed with “Old Friends”! Ontario soulstress LOONY first caught our eye with her dazzling 2021 album soft thing, and has now wowed us once again with her first release of the year. The single blends soul, R&B and hip-hop characteristics with ease, with LOONY’s nostalgic lyrics and softly encompassing vocals providing a seamless winning formula. The 6/8 groove is undeniable.

K-Trap x Mathandos – “Double Tap”

Nando’s have become well known for their glowing support of musical talent, and have highlighting this even further with their brand new Amapiano EP, “Mix It Up Vol. 2”. Tues from Kojey Radical, Lost Girl and Niko B, make up the track list, but our standout comes in the form of “Double Tap”. With renowned driller K-Trap shows his versatility atop a sparse, expressive instrumental produced by Mathandos.

COUCOU CHLOE – “DRIFT”

French-born, London-based polymath COUCOU CHLOE makes music that feels like a fever dream – in the best possible way. Suitable then, that are upcoming project shares that description. The artist, vocalist and producer has just unveiled her newest offering “DRIFT”, an ominous, compelling and siren-infused single and a terrific (if slightly terrifying) visual accompaniment.

Nao ft. Skillibeng – “Balance”

Nao’s ’21 LP, And Then Life Was Beautiful, was one of the standout records from the year, and since then we have been eagerly anticipating the return of the songstress. With “Balance”, it’s clearly been worth the wait. Enlisting Jamaican trailblazer Skillibeng for a spritely feature, Nao’s new cut is a vibe-heavy and immersive offering that hints at the fruitful artistic progressive from the vibrant artist.

Stella Talpo – “DUST”

Italy-born, London-based artist Stella Talpo has underground successful stylistic surgery of late, moving away from her creamy, smooth earlier cuts to a more urgent, succinct and explorative sound. Building steam ahead of her forthcoming debut LP, MEDUSA, the newest teaser, “DUST”, tackles themes like empowerment and growth atop a booming, cinematic instrumental.

Dumb Buoys Fishing Club – “Fortune Teller”

Dumb Buoys Fishing Club’s “Fortune Teller” is a vibrant and expertly executed single that embodies the unique characters of two fishermen seeking escapism. Drawing influences from Outkast and N.E.R.D, their surreal storytelling takes listeners on an unforgettable musical journey. Entertaining, legendary and perfectly unique – a must-listen track.

Lulato – “PLPH”

Lutalo’s “PLPH” is a powerful indie rock offering, delving into the struggles of navigating America’s political structure as a marginalised person of lower income. Their distinct sound, influenced by African drumming and a love for hip-hop, creates a captivating musical journey. Their forthcoming EP “AGAIN” is inbound and you can catch them at Pitchfork Festivals Paris/ London – you don’t want to miss out on experiencing their stellar talents in real life.

Blvk H3ro + Kojo Funds – “Annabella” (Remix)

Blvk H3ro’s “Annabella” featuring Kojo Funds is an electrifying fusion of Afrobeat, dancehall, and pop. With infectious melodies and vibrant wordplay, the duo’s collaboration empowers and invites listeners to dance with cultural excellence. A must-listen anthem that showcases Blvk H3ro’s unique and invigorating musical identity.

Sarah Johnstone – “Sofia”

Rising indie-rock artist Sarah Johnstone combines smooth, explorative vocals with edgy, sharp production and instrumentation, elevating her into a lane of her own. The Newcastle-based singer-songwriter has unveiled her new single, “Sofia”, via Quiet Crown, which is an upbeat, spritely offering that cements a sound firmly fixed in the indie greats but is simultaneously forward thinking and textured.

Jalen Ngonda – “That’s All I Wanted From You”

Jalen Ngonda’s latest single, “That’s All I Wanted From You” is an up-tempo soul rocker that showcases his powerful voice and raw emotion. Building on his Motown inspiration, the song gives a glimpse of his upcoming album, solidifying him as an iconic new artist. With a dynamic live show and impressive resume, Jalen is a rising star in modern soul and R&B.

niina – “gimme gimme”

Reintroducing herself as an enigmatic female collective, niina releases her new single “gimme gimme”. A playful exploration of the hustle within the creative industry and the slow burn of trying to climb your way up within the scene and good times that comes with it. niina’s entrancing electronic melodies and empowering beats are a utopian dream come true. Stream “gimme gimme” and embrace the euphoric spontaneity of her irresistible pop sensibilities.

Xenia Manasseh ft. Karun – “Anticipate”

Xenia Manasseh’s “Anticipate” with Karun is a mesmerising blend of 90s R&B and afro-soul. Their hypnotic voices sizzle over a cinematic production, creating a heavenly experience.
