Taking influence from modern soul and pop greats – from Adele to Amy Winehouse – Bianca James is the emerging singer-songwriter who is flaunting a soaring artistic resonance, musical refinement and thematic maturity across her work. Her highly anticipated self-titled debut body of work, set for release tomorrow (4th August), cements her place as an impressive and confident name in the scene, with her captivating vocals and sultry sounds sprawling across the LP in distinctive fashion.

We are excited to premiere the visual for one of the album’s stand out offering. “Bang Bang Baby” is a provoking and compelling soul soaked anthem that boasts a powerful vocal performance from James, as well as crafted contributions from The Hollywood Horns. Whilst firmly fixed as a homage to the sounds of the past, the track feels fresh and innovative, with the bright, well executed visuals the ideal accompaniment.

Speaking on her songwriting and musical approach, James comments, “I don’t think I consciously wrote songs about empowerment, but there is a message of overcoming, of finding hope on the other side. That’s an undercurrent in all my songs. My mission is to inspire others to live their life, and their dreams, to the fullest.”
