Dylan’s new single, “TWOMANYTIMES”, is out now. Contemplating the anxious-avoidant dynamic in a relationship, it embodies the need for space and a break from people during difficult times. “Moving from Toronto to Atlanta gave me a clean slate that made me realise how peaceful it is to get away from toxic friend groups, or toxic work environments, and toxic relationships and how much more peaceful life could be when your just on some ‘leave alone’ type shit,” he explains. “Being in a cycle of indulging in those environments is super addictive almost because you can become so wrapped up in peoples lives and the well-being of others or other peoples needs that you stop prioritising your own and it could quite literally burn you out. For me I noticed myself recovering from a burn out and that’s really where the sentiment of this song came from. Just finding peace without drama in my life and wanting to keep my space. After making the reference to this I had it on repeat. My favourite way to listen to this is driving alone, windows down, while the suns going down and really just being unbothered.”
