ŪLA – “GOD COMPLEX”

The Lithuanian-Australian bedroom pop artist releases her unique, atmospheric and energetic new single.

Lithuanian-Australian bedroom pop artist Ūla releases her new single “god complex”, capturing her unique and energetic sound that has reached millions of listeners globally. The song dives into the internal battle she faces sparked by the fears of narcissism and perfectionism, a common dialogue relatable to many. With the tracks up-tempo pop rock sound, “god complex” captures the angst birthed by the frustrations of her dilemmas and gives listeners the perfect grungy song to rock out to.

Emerging from the conceptual and innovative genre of bubblegum grunge, Sydney based musician Ūla is set to invite fans on her journey with self-reflection with her latest single “god complex”. After going Tik Tok viral with her song “Futon” during the days of lockdown and with now more than 25 million streams worldwide, Ūla’s sounds have powerfully soundtracked the lives of Gen Z. Inspired by her roots, Ūla translates the magic captured in the duality of her upbringing of both 80s rock and Lithuanian Folk music. Her main source of inspiration being the whimsical world of imagination, her mind would wonder between these two worlds which she describes as ‘me and my brain going off’.

After building up a profile as one of the leading bedroom pop artists of her time, Ūla plans to expand her musical journey with her multi-instrumental, experimental sounds and her recent tour with one of her favourite indie rock band Mother Mother launching her into a new scene.
