In a powerful celebration of womanhood, Nike hosted “Goddess Awakened”, a collaboration with choreographer, dancer, artist, athlete, and Nike partner Parris Goebel. As Nike Women heads into a new phase with a key focus on championing female creativity and self-expression through movement, style, and a sense of community, this presentation served as an opening ceremony. And with a 40-minute dance performance spearheaded by Goebel and featuring over 30 Nike athletes and partners, they sure started with a bang. Drawing inspiration from the Greek goddess of victory, Nike, and featuring looks by Nike and the brand’s collaborators, such as Martine Rose, Yoon Ahn, and Feng Chen Wang, “Goddess Awakened” offered a mesmerising, enchanting, and beautiful combination of movement, fashion, and feminine power — just what Nike Women is becoming synonymous with. Sparking something within each viewer, the presentation is just the beginning.

Goebel explains, “Throughout history, women have been told how to act, what to say, how to feel — tonight is about breaking those binds and letting our voices be heard, our bodies be acknowledged, and our wings take flight, together. To me, there is no better way to express the love, grief, power and femininity of this moment than through dance, and I’m grateful for Nike’s partnership in giving me the stage, literally and figuratively, to do it.”
