PREMIERE: ALAYNA – “ARRIVED”

The latest single from the rising star showcases her exceptional songwriting talents and enchanting vocals.

Rising New Zealand singer and songwriter alayna, releases her latest single, “Arrived”, a stunning showcase of her exceptional songwriting and captivating vocals. The track begins with spacious synths, setting the stage for an existential journey of personal discovery and understanding. As Alayna explores the pressures of life and the feeling of falling behind, her introspective lyrics create an initial tension that builds into a sense of vastness and realisation.

Speaking on the latest release herself, alayna explains, “The “Arrived” video was filmed on Kariotahi Beach on the wild West coast of New Zealand. Shot on film by renowned New Zealand Director and videographer Connor Pritchard, we wanted to create a sense of expansiveness tied with the theme of an eternal pursuit, a searching, towards a place that’s undefined – more of a feeling. Existential in some ways but also really freeing. The song is all about wondering what point will I arrive at the place I’m seeking – even though I’m not entirely clear about what exactly that means. And I wonder if there is such a place that exists, perhaps not? Perhaps we never really ‘arrive’ anywhere, and instead it is just a constant state of arrival within ourselves.”

Recorded at Parachute Studios with Josh Naley and mixed by award-winning engineer Simon Gooding, “Arrived” boasts an impressive soundscape, with her melodies flowing effortlessly, articulating her profound emotions which provide her audience with an intense euphoric release.

Influenced by legends like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, alayna’s songwriting depth shines through, leaving a lasting impact on listeners. Having already garnered significant success with her previous releases and EPs, Alayna’s talent and artistry is undeniable. With millions of streams and successful hits under her belt, she continues to impress and push the boundaries of her craft.
