Scottish singer-songwriter, Luchi, releases new single, “Things He Handed Down”. The track merges heartwarming, immersive and infectious melodies together perfectly. Featuring stripped back instrumentation and soulful vocal lines, the track is sure to pull you in and touch your soul. Vulnerability can be found within the single which will be sure to bridge the gap between the audience and the artist.  

Speaking on the project, Luchi explains, “This was one of those songs that wrote itself really. […] It’s about generational abuse and trauma in families and explores the things that are handed down through generations and questions why this happens. When I listened back to the song the first time, I was so proud and felt really emotional for the child inside me. I have been able to work through a lot of my traumas and I feel this song is giving a voice to my inner child. This song is one that is from my inner child to any other person that suffered abuse and hopefully makes them feel less alone.”

Having grown up in Glasgow with his Italian rooted family, Luchi’s inspirations come from a niche and introspective place. Since writing from the young age of 13, it’s clear to see he’s mastered his craft. Luchi’s philanthropic approach to music making is profoundly refreshing. Through his healing tones and therapeutic lyrics, “Things He Handed Down” is a track anyone and everyone can benefit from.
