OOKIOH

Discover the beautiful swimwear brand bringing sustainability into a stylish and accessible era.

Sustainable, size-inclusive swimwear brand OOKIOH is making waves in the industry. Working with an Italian mill, each piece is made from 100% regenerated materials. Sunken fishing nets, other litter found in the ocean, and garment production waste are turned into high quality, luxurious fabrics — which are then crafted into OOKIOH’s beautiful product line. Through this process, the brand helps minimise waste within the two industries it touches, reducing ocean-based pollution as well as that of the fashion industry.

The craftsmanship and quality of OOKIOH’s products don’t stop at the fabric, but continue through every step of the production process. After spending 16 months working with fit models, technical designers, and patternmakers, founder Vivek Agarwal mastered a wide range of sizes so that the pieces look incredible on all bodies. Now available up to 4X (22/24), this focus on size inclusivity reflects their overall mission to create beautiful, sustainable swimwear that expands what sustainability can look like. Stylish, accessible, and affordable, it debunks the myth that eco-conscious fashion is for a minority.

Agarwal explains, “Like fast fashion, sustainable fashion should be stylish and affordable. Today, ‘sustainability’ is mostly used as a tool to create higher-priced products that are beyond the reach of the masses. Sustainable fashion needs to be mass consumed to make a positive impact on the environment and reverse the damage done. Mass consumption would ensure mass recycling and upcycling, ergo a greener earth. That’s how you get more people to become good environmental citizens.”

Key products include OOKIOH’s soft and absorbent beach towels, new thong bathing suit, and sunglasses inspired by vintage postcards of the French Riviera, Slim Aarons photographs, and ‘90s Speedo spreads.
