Wonderland.

PREMIERE: THE NEARLY DEADS — “WONDERLAND”

The alt-rock band embarks on a new journey with a powerful lead single and performance video off of their forthcoming sophomore album.

We are so excited to premiere with you a magnetic performance video for The Nearly Deads’ “Wonderland”. The alt-rock band’s new single was plucked from their highly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album, leading us into a new era of music. As the last song to be finished on the album, “Wonderland” is an energetic, uplifting, and meaningful track with killer vocals and an angsty, powerful sound. Lyrics sing of the band’s journey finding their way back to what they love, and in a beautiful full circle moment, they recorded a video doing just that. Their utmost love for writing and performing together shines through in their stellar stage presence and impactful, contagious energy.

“Musically, with each album/EP I try to take inspiration from a previous popular single and elevate/evolve the concept for a new song,” explains Steven Tobi, lead guitarist. “This was that song for me on this album and I think it worked. I love the energy, riffs, lyrics and video to go along with it. TJ took her time on the lyrics because she wanted to write something that resonates and I feel she nailed it.”

“We wanted the video to have a lot of energy and to showcase what it’s like seeing us play live,” vocalist TJ adds. “Daniel Gonzalez, the director, had an idea to add lights and smoke to add a dreamy element to the idea of going back to Wonderland. Going back to Wonderland for me is absolutely pouring my heart and soul back into The Nearly Deads one hundred percent. After a hiatus and global circumstances that changed the music industry, we are re-introducing ourselves back into the world with this video and album.”

Marking the start of a fresh chapter, “Wonderland” is an absolute anthem. Stay tuned for The Nearly Deads’ forthcoming sophomore album entitled We Are The Nearly Deads, releasing 7th July. Pre-save here.
