PREMIERE: HOLLY LOVELADY – “SLEEP”

The emerging electro-pop singer-songwriter from Liverpool, who blends folk, pop and electronica, treats us to new single.

Emerging star Holly Lovelady drops latest track “Sleep”, co-produced with Bob Mackenzie and mastered by Grammy winning engineer Cameron Craig.

The single touches on the inner feelings of the uncertainty of falling for someone you don’t really know. The track builds with Hollie’s vocal and synths, showcasing her unique presence and melodic prowess.

Holly’s signature haunting melodies skyrocket the song into a dreamlike state, paired with whirling synthesisers to further the otherworldly feeling. Inspired by Florence and the Machine and MARINA, “Sleep” borrows the same infectious traits of the artists, and keeps the listener tranced and intrigued throughout.

In Holly’s own words, “Sleep was both inspired by my own personal story and also an old friend’s personal journey. For myself It’s about seeing someone who you really like but you become scared or subconsciously unsure if you really want to be with them, you don’t know why you are unsure but that feeling of uncertainty is creeping in… I think that feeling is so common nowadays!”

Holly Lovelady is becoming one of the most rousing artists in the North of England, and is set to have her best year yet. “Sleep” truly showcases her impeccable talents and is sure to soar in the charts, much like her journey to stardom.
