How are you? What are you up to right now?
All good thank you! I’m preparing lots of new music for my upcoming live shows, but I’m also really happy these days since I am graduating next week in dentistry. I am super excited because after graduation I’ll be able to devote all my time to the music world!

What or who were your early musical inspirations and when did you start creating music yourself?
During my adolescence, I always listened to David Guetta’s great hits with my friends. I have this hilarious memory from a family trip where my sister and I were in the car with our dad. We were so obsessed with the song “Memories” that we drove him crazy, forcing him to play it every 10 minutes. David influenced my approach to music but also other artists like Avicii and Calvin Harris inspired me a lot. I started producing my music in 2015. I remember very well the early days and the hours spent in front of the music plug-ins. It was an amazing feeling of discovering a new world!

Your sound is so distinctly your own — how would you define it?
Having produced trance music in previous years has greatly influenced me. I love the harmonies and melodies of that genre, which is why my productions often feature significant melodic elements. What I try to do with my sound is to blend melodic breakdowns with energetic drops, creating a cohesive fusion. It’s important to create melodies that aren’t too complex, as people can get lost in them and ultimately fail to appreciate them. Simplicity is the key.

How have you seen the space evolve since you first started working in music production?
I must say that since I started producing, the thing that has impressed me the most is the multitude of new genres that emerge and especially the rapidity of trend changes. Looking at the trajectory of other artists, I have come to understand that it is crucial to always be open to experimenting with new sounds.

How has more video-centred social media features, particularly Instagram reels, impacted your career and allowed you to connect with your fanbase?
Until three years ago, I was against social media. I saw them as a distraction, and I wasn’t satisfied with my results. Part of this was because I tended to imitate what the popular artists of the moment were doing, and the image I projected wasn’t the right one. I wasn’t being true to myself in that way. I have always recorded videos with the same format you see in my reels, but I never posted them. I only sent them to friends because I believed they were not professional enough. Then one evening during the Christmas holidays, I decided to post one of those videos that I used to send to my friend, and from the usual thousand views that I used to get, I suddenly jumped to half a million in just a few days. At first, I thought it was just thanks to the algorithm, as I had previously experienced an unexpected surge in views on my private Instagram profile when I uploaded a video of me doing burnouts with a quad bike. Therefore, I thought that my sudden visibility was due to the same reason, and so I was a bit sceptical at first. But a few days later, I decided to post another video in the same style to see if it was truly the format that was working, and it turned out to be true. From that moment on, I started posting many reels, and my account grew very rapidly.

When did you first get connected with David Guetta and how did it feel to work with him?
I still remember every frame of that moment. The first thing I do when I wake up is grab my phone to check the statistics of my socials. I know it’s not healthy, but I love looking at the graphs, etc. It was a late August morning, and still a bit sleepy, I grabbed my phone, went on Instagram, and saw the notification: “David Guetta started following you.” I literally jumped out of bed, and from that moment on, we started talking on Instagram. Working with him pushes me to elevate my game even further. I always think, “I can do better.” And all the advice he gives me is pure gold. I often see young people today who expect to be at the top already. Personally, I see this as a mistake. I prefer to sit down with humility and learn from the greats.

Can you talk us through the track? How did you decide to remix La Bouche’s “Be My Lover” and how did you bring it from 1995 to 2023?
This is a funny story, it all started as a game. One of my best friends sent me the link to the original song, because he thought I could make a great version of it. Initially, I had planned to make a reel with a different track, but to surprise him, I decided to start working on the song immediately and then post it on social media. David wrote to me right after, I sent him a demo, and we immediately realised that the song had a lot of potential. So, we decided to release it. At that moment, I couldn’t tell if I was dreaming or not. We changed almost everything from the original track, which is why it sounds so fresh and new. We only kept the original vocals, but we arranged them in a different way.

What do you hope people take away from listening to the track?
I hope the song leaves people with a sense of energy and freedom. The vocals are very powerful, and it’s a track for everyone. It works well for a festival, a club, and even for radio play.

Are there any other artists you’d like to work with or is there anyone you’re particularly inspired by right now?
At the moment, I feel a strong musical connection with David, but as I mentioned before, I’m always open to everything and everyone. I really enjoy Calvin Harris and Meduza style as well.

Do you have a career highlight thus far?
The collaboration with David has been the highlight of my career so far. Starting this summer, I’ll also be going on tour around the world, and many more incredible moments are yet to come. This is just the beginning!
