MILKY CHANCE — LIVING IN A HAZE

The alt-pop duo’s highly anticipated fourth studio album is finally here — and it is just the summer soundtrack we could have hoped for.

Milky Chance’s fourth studio album, Living In A Haze, is out now. A perfect example of the magic that happens when you bring classic references into the modern day, it is as timeless as it is innovative. Since the early days of their decade-long career, Milky Chance has established themselves firmly in the world of alt-pop — with a sound that is easily recognisable as their own.

Harnessing the power of music, the duo of Clemens Rehbein and Phillipp Dausch create soundscapes that will stick with you for a lifetime and transport you back to where you were when you first played them on repeat. Following 2014’s “Stolen Dance” and 2017’s “Cocoon”, we now arrive at a collection of masterpieces that accomplish this once more — and are destined to be the soundtrack to all your summer memories.

Opening with the title track, Living In A Haze begins with a clear mission statement for the album. Not unlike a thesis, it sets the scene for the rest of the experimental yet undeniably Milky Chance-ified songs.

A compilation of glittering, chill dream pop anthems, they flow from one another effortlessly as we move through the introspective “Purple Tiger”, nostalgia-infused short and sweet “Favorite Song”, dance floor ready single “Synchronize”, and collaborations with Fatoumata Diawara and Charlotte Cardin. As we get to the end, “Frequency of Love” wraps us in its arms. Energy and emotion come to life in this album, and will awaken something in you. Take our word for it.

“We stepped out of our comfort zone to make this album,” Milky Chance explains. “It was freeing and felt like a new chapter for us. We gave ourselves the space and energy to really dive deep into writing and producing, tried out new things, worked with incredible collaborators like Charlotte Cardin and Fatoumata Diawara, and created, what we think, is a colorful and diverse album.”

Milky Chance are on tour in North America through the summer. For more information, visit here.
