Only a few days after the release of my sophomore LP ‘Utopian Fantasy’, we headed straight out to play the songs live for the very first time opening for the wondrous Lord Huron. Heart soaring at altitude is how I would describe the last few weeks on tour. We have been totally immersed in nature since heading out a few weeks ago, and have played the most incredibly beautiful venues with the most incredible people.

ALLIE CROW BUCKLEY – TOUR DIARY
Following the release of her sophomore LP, the alt-indie artist takes us along with her on tour.
Montana
We begin with an ascent, after the first few shows, into the majestic beauty of the rockies, where we will remain the for the next little while.
We arrive in Missoula after a drive of many hours and are met with mountain streams and signs warning of Grizzly Bear activity.
We arrive at the Kettle House Amphitheater to the sound of a river, and a swooping osprey. The most whimsical of settings. Serenading the mountain from stage at soundcheck.
Red Rocks
Red Rocks is simply as formidable as you could imagine. Getting to walk out onto that stage, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the natural rock formations, not to mention the hallowed ground, is a feeling I will cherish for all of my days. A true honour to get to play here.
Backstage hanging on the wall in our dressing room, is a framed list of everyone who played Red Rocks in 1983. Names like Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and Neil Young jump from the aged, tea-stained coloured flyer. I wandered around the bleachers of the auditorium as Lord Huron sound checked, hearing the harmonious reverberations bounce around the empty venue. Their sound is so well suited to this incredible terrain, and the music simply soars up and out through the mountains.
